Sculpture, titled «Trader,» embodies the spirit of the «bulls» of Wall Street, those securities traders striving to profit from rising markets. Golden horns, a symbol of success, adorn the figure, while his face is completely covered in numbers, signifying an obsessive focus on wealth and high-stakes deals. A gold card in hand suggests a solution to every problem.

If the Renaissance artist could have traded his hammer and chisel for a computer numerical control (CNC) and the right machine tools, we could have had thousands of statues carved from a host of different materials.

5-axis machining involves using a CNC to move a part or cutting tool along five different axes simultaneously. This enables the machining of very complex parts.
